Requirements
- A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later)
- macOS 13 Ventura or later
- Claude Code installed and signed in (
claudeworks in Terminal) - Dictation, if you turn it on, downloads a 574 MB speech model once
Install
- 1Open the downloaded DMG.
- 2Drag Atelier onto Applications.
- 3Open Atelier from Applications, pick a project folder and press ⌘ N.
If macOS blocks Atelier
The first time, macOS may say it could not verify Atelier. Click Done, then:
- Open System Settings › Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to Security and click Open Anyway next to “Atelier was blocked to protect your Mac”.
- Confirm with your password or Touch ID, then click Open.
You only do this once: updates installed by Atelier itself are not blocked.
Updates
Atelier checks for new versions in the background, verifies their signature and installs them on the next restart without closing your sessions. Choose the Stable or Beta channel in Settings › About.
